LEN entered into a memorandum of understanding with Mercy Corps, one of the largest aid agencies in the world, to provide off-grid solar lighting and power in Liberia using pay-as-you-go and mobile money technologies. With support from Mercy Corps Liberia, LEN is implementing a pilot of these new technologies, which will expand access for Liberians living in rural and peri-urban areas to purchase solar home lighting systems and appliances on installment purchase plans.
